Statues don’t talk back, which is a good thing because there may be more Roman and Christian statues in the city than human beings,. I only I need to talk to live person to order a pizza or cappuccino.
Today I slept in and then walked passed the Roman Forum to Colosseum to San Clemente, my favorite church in Rome. A short walk up a hill (remember Rome is built on seven hills) to Santi Quattro Coronatti, followed by a long walk to Santa Maria Maggori.

The churches in Rome are eclectic. It is quite accurate to say that every church has been built. rebuilt, and built over from Roman times to the present. If you need a column, just take one from a pile of ruins somewhere in the city.
