My editor has made some excellent practical and substantive suggestions of ways to enhance my memoir. I’m giving myself a few days NOT to think about it. Over the weekend, I’ll ponder and process, and on Monday I’ll open the files and begin writing and shifting a few things around. That my plan. Once I’m ready, I figure it should take about a week. That’s my plan.
I’m enjoying these free days that I’ve scheduled for myself. I’d forgotten how solitude isn’t just time alone but time away from thinking. This morning I walked four thought-less miles, except for thoughts of the beauty around me.
