Today is the first day I’ve had enough silence, solitude and simplicity to even want to think about, much less write about it. I have the day to feel each of the 3Ss. Silence: some people have departed for home, other have gone into Boston. Solitude: other than my husband, there is no one around, and he’s enjoying his 3Ss, too. Simplicity: I’ve vacuumed and tidied the kitchen—need I say more.
For those of us who sometimes like to be alone, we always trying to figure out what it takes to satisfy us. The particulars will vary, but at least for me, for NOW, it’s the sounds of nature, no human beings, and an organized kitchen.
