I’ll be in Florence for twelve nights this time, staying in the same apartment complex as in November, but this time in an apartment fully facing the Duomo--no side view. Since I’m planning to eat in more this time, my first stop will be the Mercato Centrale for lettuce, fruit, bread, olive oil and maybe a pre-cooked pasta dish. I’m not into cooking, although my sister-in-law loved doing so when she was in Florence last spring. I’ll see how it goes.
I’m ready to settle into living in the city more as a citizen than a tourist this time. On my other recent visits I was working on Very Grateful, the book about my mom, which left me both focused and distracted.
Oh, I have some writing projects in mind, but I can work leisurely. OR, not write at all.
