Scuppers hoping for a momentary treasure.
The air was warm and moist as I walked the beach yesterday. I decided to find out if anyone was finding treasure. Of course literal me was thinking of shells and driftwood, although I remembered my earlier encounters with the man who had found ideas and with the farmer whose treasure was seaweed for fertilizer. How surprised I was at this response to my treasure question. “Oh yes, my sinus headache is all cleared up.”
Today is cold and dry but there will be other treasures to find. I think that Eckhart Tolle (author of “The Power of Now”) would appreciate the idea that we can find a momentary treasure wherever we are, even on the beach. In fact that may be a comforting thought for those who at this moment aren’t able to go to their cottage by the sea. Look around and spot a treasure.
