Even on a Tuesday morning at 10 AM the store was filled with blue-shirted employees, each with a particular job and ready to help. I was directed to Salesman Yuk, who stuck with me through all my questions, ignorances and ponderings, and since he was not on commission, he didn’t need to hurry me along. After I made my choice, he sent my order to the back, and voila, my new computer was brought to me. So far, nothing had been done on paper, all on iPads and iPhones. We then worked out that with AppleCare I would receive year long one-to-one personal service, repairs (even at my house), and the transfer of all my files.
The only down side was that I had to leave my computer at the store for twenty-four plus hours. Good grief, how would I exist? Well, I did, with my iPhone and with computer access at the library across the street from my house. I left the store computerless, with only a paper sales receipt.
Two days later, here I sit, with my new computer. Everything, files, email, addresses, calendar, I mean everything, has been transferred. and my desktop looks the same. I thinking, “So much complexity to make it simple for me.”
