Last lunch~ Spinach salad, bread and wine
My days are too busy for much blogging but I seem to have the energy to share some pictures. I spent this, my last day in Rome, riding around on the buses, jumping off to revisit a few favorites, and then hopping back on another bus to see where it would take me. Tomorrow I’ll be on a 7:45 AM train to Assisi. It will take well over two hours to get there because the train many stops along the way—kind of a local.
Why so early you ask? Well I’m a morning person and I’d rather spend my time wandering around Assisi than sleeping late in Rome. Besides, the early morning ticket was half the price. I guess I still keep to that student mentality of travel. (Remember when you could by a book entitles “Europe on $5 a day”? Then it went up to $10.) This is one way I remain "very grateful" that I can be hopping on a train to Assisi.
