It has not been silent around here, but that’s not the point of July 4th. The road race has been run (by some, not me), the parade marched, the picnic enjoyed. It was a fabulous 4th, just as it should be, hot and sunny.
Now we are heading for the Kennebec River in Maine for a one-day white water rafting adventure with our kids and grandkids. All in celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary, which is in December, but not a good time to be out on the river.
