The Enormous Tiny Art Show | Thompson, Betsy at the Nacotta Gallery. And who, you ask, is this Betsy Thompson? An accomplished artist and a former kindergarten and second grade student of mine. Betsy lives just a little over an hour from the cottage, so we have enjoyed getting together once a year for a meal, a museum visit, a walk on the beach. But seeing her as Betsy, the artist, was gratifying in a different way--well worth stepping out of the silence and solitude of the cottage. As for simplicity, well, her art is simply fabulous.
