Yesterday I experienced the best-ever solitary walk; everything was in alignment to offer a superlative mind/body/spirit experience. A 'follow your bliss' day. Let me briefly describe in words that which can really only be felt. The pictures convey so much more.
I’ll start with the weather: crystal clear, 20 degrees, no wind.
On the way to the beach there was the man on the porch, clinching a cigarette between his teeth as he arranged his balloon sculptures of frozen colored water.
And then the gulls: just a few, silently standing or sitting alone. This was not a foraging day,
The people: a few lone walkers. A times I was alone on the beach, just me and the gulls.
Chunks of ice that seemed to be replacing the stones that usually wash up on the beach after a storm.
