Not everyone is hobbling in however. There’s a mammography center. Moms and dad are arriving for wellness checks for their newborns. A woman in a wheelchair just came out of an office and asked her aide if she could get a donut at DD across the street. Life is happening!
People need help, my husband included—he can’t drive right how. And of course, babies do. And anyone in a wheelchair. Even us healthy looking folks want someone to get us a donut.
And yet, in the midst of all this real life stuff, I am finding solitude. This place has a calm about it because people are getting help. I feel it because that is what I keep training myself to find, to experience, to create. Silence, solitude, and simplicity.
